    No, closing a loan does not remove it from your credit history. It will still show in your credit report as a “closed” account along with your repayment track record, and that’s actually a good thing if you paid EMIs on time. Credit bureaus keep closed loan records for several years (often up to 7 years), so lenders can see your past behaviour and trust you. Bas, ensure this: after you close the loan, check that the status is updated as “closed” (not active, not settled), and keep the closure letter/NOC safely. If it’s showing wrong even after a month or two, then raise a correction with the lender.
