No, CRIF and CIBIL are not the same. Don’t worry, there are no credit bureaus in India; however, various companies collect and maintain your credit data separately.

    What is CIBIL

CIBIL (TransUnion CIBIL) is India’s oldest and most widely used credit bureau. Banks and NBFCs mostly check your CIBIL score before approving a loan or credit card.

    • Score range: 300 to 900
    • Used by: Most national banks and lenders
    • Website: cibil.com

    What is CRIF

CRIF High Mark is another RBI-approved credit bureau. It also tracks your loans, credit cards, and repayments, and gives a CRIF score between 300 and 900. Many fintechs and regional lenders use CRIF reports.

    • Score range: 300 to 900
    • Used by: Fintechs, NBFCs, and some banks
    • Available on: GoodScore app

Key Difference Between CRIF and CIBIL

    • Both provide credit scores and reports, but from different databases.
    • Aapka score thoda different ho sakta hai dono me, kyunki har bureau ke paas data alag lenders se aata hai.
    • Dono scores valid hain, aur lenders inme se koi bhi use kar sakte hain.

    Ab kya karna hai

Simple baat ye hai ki CRIF aur CIBIL dono aapka credit report banate hain, bas data source alag hai. Aap apna CRIF score GoodScore app par check kar sakte ho aur CIBIL score unki website se. Dono ko samay samay par dekhte raho taaki credit profile healthy rahe.
