You can check your credit score as often as you want without “hurting” it, as long as it’s your own check on a credit app or report portal, because that’s usually a soft enquiry and doesn’t impact the score. Score typically drops only when you apply for a new loan or credit card and the lender does a hard enquiry. Practical rule for India: check once a month if you’re actively planning a loan, or once every 2–3 months for regular tracking and catching errors early. If you see any sudden dip, check your utilisation (card limit use), overdue status, and recent enquiries. Bas ek cheez avoid karo: ek hi week mein multiple loans/cards ke liye apply mat karo, warna enquiries pile up ho jaati hain and approval chances bhi down ho sakte hain.
