Home » Card Usage » How much of my credit card limit should I actually use every month?
Tagged: card limit, credit score, credit utilisation
A good thumb rule in India is to use under 30% of your total credit card limit in a month. That’s the safest zone for credit score and loan eligibility.
If you want it even cleaner:
Example: If your limit is ₹1,00,000, try to keep monthly spending on that card within ₹10,000–₹30,000.
One smart hack: if you need to spend more in a month, pay part of the bill before the statement is generated. This keeps the reported utilisation lower. Bas dhyaan rakho, full payment due date se pehle karna hai, minimum due trap mein mat jao.
