Tagged: loan default process, NPA, recovery
Loan default ke baad usually yeh steps hote hain: pehle 1–7 days mein SMS/email reminders aate hain, phir bank/NBFC calls start karti hai and late fee plus extra interest lagta hai; 30 days cross hua toh account “overdue” jaisa track hone lagta hai and credit report mein delayed payment reflect ho sakta hai; 60 days tak continuous non-payment raha toh follow-ups aur strict ho jaate hain, recovery team visit bhi kar sakti hai; 90 days tak payment nahi hui toh many lenders account ko NPA classify kar dete hain, credit score pe heavy damage hota hai and future loans tough ho jaate hain. Secured loans (home, car) mein notice process start ho sakta hai and asset recovery ka route open hota hai, unsecured loans (personal, card) mein recovery and legal notice ka risk badh jata hai. Best move yahi hai ki default ke early stage mein hi lender se baat karke partial payment, revised plan, ya restructuring option dekh lo, kyunki delay jitna badhega, damage aur cost dono badhenge.
